I purchased 2 of Shelbi’s Squishy Doodle brush sets. These brushes are excellent! At last weekend’s event I exclusively used one set of Squishy Doodle brushes with my new GTX water-resistant paints. On the job these brushes worked fantastic with GTX’s water-resistant paints . They cleaned up nicely when switching colors and there was no problem cleaning them afterward. Highly recommend!
I really don't need more brushes. I have my favorites and backups to my backups and frankly speaking, I'm somewhat of a brush snob. But I did need another filbert. And just then, Squishy Doodle brushes came to my rescue... and I bought the set. Yes, what was I thinking? I only needed a filbert, but it was a better deal to get the set, so I am now the proud owner of the Squishy Doodle brush set. :D As much as I didn't want to love this set, I fell hard for several of the brushes because they are just so good and make my work look good, not to mention fun to use! So much thought was put into these brushes. Did you notice the fun rainbow/oil slick colored ferrule, the nice lavender colored plastic handle, and the dark soft bristles which hide most stains? And I have to mention the ease of cleaning the brushes, the handles don't stain and won't peel off like painted handles, and the bristles don't hold on to gobs of paint when I wash them. I can scoop glitter out with the pointy ends of the flat/angel brushes and make dots with the rounded ends of the round brushes.
The first brush I crushed on was the number 2, aka Fairy. Fairy's lines were beautiful! Beautiful thin points with long flowy lines for such a small brush. I love her drag and drops. Then came my love affair with number 4, Doodle. Thick to thin lines were so easy and graceful. Teardrops were effortless and perfect. I wasn't sure what to expect out of the petal brush since I had my favorite flat petal brush, but the Flower Power petal brush delivered flower petals with amazing power, one after another lovely petal! The flat and angle Bestie and Old Faithful were just like their names. My flat and angel brushes have to have very thin profiles and their profiles were thin and made for precision strokes. The Luna Filbert has been a great brush for the few times I've used it and it also has a nice thin profile so it makes nice teardrops in addition to filling in large spaces. I haven't tried out the number 6 round much (I don't use it much except for what the filbert does) but I know it will be just as wonderful as its sister brushes. So, if you can't tell by now, I highly recommend these Squishy Doodle brushes.
OK, I'm hard on brushes. I use lots of brushes, I have about 12 #4 round, and usually use all of them over the course of a long event. I dedicate some to white, others to black, then others to red, blue, etc., so I use a lot of brushes! I bought my first set of Squishy Doodle brushes on the recommendation of another painter, and using a few of hers on a gig. OMG I love them! I love that they hold up with a nice point even after being loaded multiple times. Some brushes "sag" after a while and don't maintain that nice point. These are terrific. I also really love the 1" flat for my rainbows, and the filbert for large teardrops, muzzles, etc. Basically, I've found my new brushes, and need more already! :)

These brushes are AMAZING, I LOVE GTX Face Paint, I recommend them to everyone!
They make amazing tear drops!! And are perfect size for One Strokes!
